Securikey:
The Key to Improved Safety

Securikey is a project that began in 2024 after receiving $5000 from Vancouver City Hall through the Building Safer Communities Program Youth Engagement Project Grant. With this initial funding, we received guidance from the Kerrisdale Oakridge Marpole Community Policing Center in our journey to deliver safety workshops to youth in the community and distribute personal safety alarms. Just a few month after our launch, we received additional funding from the GLOCAL Foundation of Canada’s CANConnect Micro-grant Diversity Program. It is thanks to GLOCAL that we are able to create this digital website to grow our reach on improving youth safety across Canada.
